What does a clear result mean?
A clear result means no record was found for that check when the report was generated. It should be read in the context of the particular record searched and the provider’s explanation.
Read it check by check
A clear finance result is about the finance information returned. It is not a statement about the car’s mechanical condition, and it does not explain a separate warning elsewhere in the report. Read each section on its own terms.
Remember the data limits
Source information can be missing, delayed or corrected. A report reflects the records available at a point in time. Read the provider’s terms and the notes accompanying individual checks to understand those boundaries.
Use the report alongside other evidence
Check that the vehicle details match the car and documents. Ask about anything inconsistent in the seller’s account, and investigate alerts or unexplained gaps before making a buying decision. A history report is one source of information, not a warranty for the vehicle.
Explore the provider directory and use the official links in each profile to read the service’s current limitations.
